My name is Dawn and I am from the far northern suburbs of Chicago. I have a B.A. in English (What am I supposed to do with that degree?) and a MS in Recreation Administration. If you ever seen the show Parks and Rec, that’s the job I would be doing if I actually worked in the field that I went to college for.
I am currently the Teen “Librarian” and Creative Space Coordinator at the Zion-Benton Public Library and have been for nine years. I purchase books and do programming for 6th – 12th graders. I’m a reviewer for SLJ (School Library Journal) and I also have a blog for teen librarians called the Teen Services Depot.
I LOVE HARRY POTTER, specifically Ron Weasley. I also love Sherlock, specifically Benedict Cumberbatch. I also love Game of Thrones, specifically Peytr Baelish (tears), and I like Doctor Who specifically #10-Tennant!
I’ve met MANY authors but there are some that I haven’t met and are therefore on my bucket list.
